
Jacqui Brookes - Co Founder Digital Film and Music Facilitator Film Editor
Jacqui entered the music industry as writer performer with Beggars Banquet, A&M records and MCA Records, publishing with Rondor Music and writing and performing with two bands until going solo. In 1984 she then became involved in production and co-writing with various signed artistes from a wide range of music genres.
In 1993 she embarked upon a series of therapeutic trainings involving multifaceted aspects of music therapy, including clinical hypnotherapy. Combing her skill, enthusiasm and creativity within a therapeutic environment, her work with individuals has successfully used a variety of techniques and methods as the means to encourage and develop individual creative/artistic talent.
Jacqui is a professional musician and has been composing and performing music for over 25 years; now specialising in teaching digital music composition. Since 2002 she has facilitated many music, Soundbeam and Film sessions and during the past four years has been involved with hundreds of young/elderly people and and has worked with over 30 organisations.
Jacqui has written soundtracks, facilitated film, and edited the films for Sound Architect. She also offers one to one private sessions.
Rachel Lewis - Co-founder/Projects Director
Rachel has a professional background of economics and environmental management. She is a trained auditor and has worked extensively in the private and public sectors. Her consultancy work has included clients such as British Airways, Royal Mail, Haven Leisure, several Local Authorities and the NHS. She now works for Sound Architect as a fundraiser and economic adviser as well as working as a therapist with people with debilitating addictions.
Steve Ward - I.T. and Digital Music Facilitator
After working for many years in the City of London, Steve decided to pursue a career in Music and is now a Sound Engineer and teaches Music Technology.
He facilitates digital music projects and I.T. alongside Jacqui Brookes.
Meg Depla Lake - Project Coordinator/ Drama & Design
Meg's background is originally in Fashion & Textile Design, gaining a BA Hons Degree from St Martin's School of Art, London in 1980. She has worked for Burberry's of London, Harvey's Brewery and East Sussex County Council.
She is a founder member of the Rude Mechanical Theatre Company, one of the South East's leading independent touring theatre groups. She toured professionally with them for three years in leading roles and has appeared in a couple of BBC drama documentaries.
In 2007 Meg was been commissioned to produce the ornate backcloth for the Rude Mechanical Theatre Company's Summer Tour 'Five Get Famous', and in 2008 to design and produce the costumes for their tour of 'Noah Babel's Ark'.
Meg has devised, compiled, written and performed a series of light hearted 'distractions' entitled 'This is Your Love Life', 'On the Village Green' and 'Home for Christmas'.
At present Meg is working with the charity Sound Architect (Music & Film) Ltd on various projects, involving both drama and design. She created the charity's logo and leaflet, and designs flyers and posters for their many projects.
