Film Maker Workshops

Sound Architect Film Maker workshops offer programmes to teach new skills and develop opportunities using film as a creative medium. The workshops expand the participant's vision of what is possible, while teaching useful interpersonal, creative and technical skills.

The aim of the Film Maker Workshops is to enable participants to express and channel their creativity, thoughts and emotions through the process of filmmaking.

During the workshops participants learn various skills including:

Camera techniques
Sound and Lighting
Composition
Script writing
Acting
Props, make-up and costumes
Film and set continuity
Editing

Making a film gives participants focus, confidence and creates a medium through which they can express their innermost thoughts. It also teaches some valuable lessons of life, and participants appreciate that teamwork, patience and discipline often go hand in hand with achievement and success.

At the end of each programme we hold a Film Premiere, when participants, friends, parents, film enthusiasts, educational institutions and members of the press are invited. All participants get a DVD of their film.
