Digital Music Technology
Participants will be shown how use music sequencing software on a pc, integrating the use of music samples in loop format from music sample cd's, and using external midi keyboards.
A very wide genre of ‘instruments’ are available enabling compositions of classical, jazz, folk, pop, rap, hip hop etc. It’s fun, interactive and creative for participants of all ages and abilities. Sessions can be from half a day or over several weeks.
Participants will gradually build an individual song, or piece of music, track-by-track, using sound loops, until they have created a final piece. Professional facilitators will help each person through each step.
The participants will be working with headphones, at their individual monitor/station, working at their own pace. They need no previous knowledge of music just an enthusiasm to create music and produce their own compositions.
Finally their created piece (s) will be recorded onto CD.
