Longest Lane
Working with students from St Marks School, Hadlow Down, the film was devised to lobby East Sussex County Council to reduce the speed limit through the village. The film was a successful tool and the limit was reduced to 30 mph. Participants learnt filmmaking, drama, art and interviewing skills. Full length film was 25 minutes.
A Future For Tiling Green
A documentary made with residents from Tiling Green, Rye to lobby East Sussex County Council the borough council to support their need for a community care centre. An intergenerational project where participants learnt filmmaking, drama and interviewing skills. Full length film was 25 minutes.
Shared Stage
Shared Stage was a 12 month programme where technical skills were taught to 200 Sussex Residents over 50. Participants learnt skills in Information Technology, Creative Writing and Web Design. Resulting from this training, a participant designed a website www.sharedstage.org.uk and is currently run as a creative hub for the county by volunteers throughout Sussex.
St Peter and St James Hospice
This film was comissioned by the Hospice to raise its profile, train staff and volunteers and to use as a fundraising tool. The project worked with therapists, staff and patients. Full length film was 20 minutes.
Be A Councillor
The film was comissioned by the Association for Parish Councillors (Surrey, Kent and Sussex) to recruit and inspire people to become Parish Councillors, train staff and volunteers and to use as a traing tool. Full length film was 25 minutes.
Portraits
An 18 month French and UK collaborative project which examined life and communities in rural villages in our two countries. The film depicts rural and community life in Rye Harbour, Hertsmonceux and Chailey villages in East Sussex. The aim was to create better understanding and forge new links between the UK and France.
